It's been a long time, shouldn't of left u, with out a dope blog to read to

been finding it super hard to wake up, (infact have been getting colosal amounts of sleep, maybe i need to eat better or excercise more?) . Hence have not filled in my morning blogs. Have generally had memmories of a dream and a song but by the time i actually wake up either memories have gone or decide that can't be bothered to record them in blog.

This all changed this morning! so here it goes: Song playing in my head this morning is Outkast - Ghettomusik (the really cool bit where it slows down "I iiiiii, just wanna know how you fell? feeling good, feeling great, feeling great, how are you?).

Dream memories were a little hazey, I turned up at a well lit bar (Must have been day time, i think i was planning to work there and didn't know anyone) . Some of the bar staff members were hanging around which i was about to meet. The staff consisted of : an old workmate from the ski field (can not remember his name - had big orange hair) was there along with 2 female celebrities (forget who they were) they were like playing fooze ball, then dream cut into the 2 female celebs getting it on, nothing too hard core - mostly clothed, dream was ova before it got ultra good - always the way.

sunday morning bdo after party

Got to prove i can sleep through anything, Aaron doing huge burnout on bike before leaving party inspired the birthday boy Lowry to perform a burn out in car parked in the garage - right next to wear i was asleep (@ 4am in the morning). Burnout sounded cool but rubber fumes were a little anoying but sleep won on the occassion, and i was well rested.

Had no dream memories

Awoke to song "dmx - x gonna give it to yah", which had a big day out influence to it cause mix master mike of the beastie boys mixed the song during their set.

fri morning - big day out!

1/2 woke and remeber having no song playing in my head, after further napping had a song in my head which i forgot after even further napping. awoke to having no song but then the samurai jack theme music started playing (in my head).

Dream memories of being at mount maunganui on the pilot bay side, group of people swimming one of them got topless - looked asian but had a huge rack. rack similar to the chick out of undersiege (the one that pops out of the cake)

big day out 2005 review

The big day out is held each year and is New Zealand's premier music event. It was on the 21st of Janurary 2005, which makes my review so late.

After studying the timetable i had my schedule all sorted out
*1115 48 may
*1230 steriogram
*115 donnas
*145 shapeshifter
*230 kid606
*315 fast crew
*420 scribe
*500 freestylers
*600 john buttler trio
*645 regurgitator
*730 the streets
*900 the beastieboys
*1000 chemical brothers

1115 48 may - somehow managed to miss them cause didn't get in till after lunch, cue was not that bad and after water pack got searched and they allowed the ice (i had frozen in the pack the day before) the big day out had begun, can never get to a big day out on time. I really wanted to see 48 may cause there tunes a pretty mean and i used to work with the lead singer at Planet Hollywood.

1230 sterio gram - missing 48 may was quickly over shadowed by the stella performance steriogram put on. Not knowing at the time, but this was to be the most furious moshing of the whole day - go Sterio gram!!! moshing also had an extra twist to it as the first 5 or 6 rows of people closest to the stage were shaded, so there was an extra incentive to fight your way forward, not to mention security dudes at the front were equiped with water hoses to spray and cool down the people within reach of the sparay from the hose.... ohh i almost forgot the high light of the whole day was - "at the finalle of one of their songs (drummer crashes all his symbols as the lead singer similtaneously jumps from on top of a speaker back on to center stage) the guitarist throws his guitar into the air (must have been like 2 stories - right to the top of the stage) and then catches it like it was nothing, no sooner did he have the strap around his neck possed ready to play again. At the time i thought this feat would be topped by some bad ass breakdancing... but i did not get to see any breakdancing!?!?!?!?!

115 donnas - I somehow envisioned myslef front and center to have a good perve at the donnas, but instead found myself at the snack bar getting lunch, only getting to partially hear there performance from the bleachers

145 shapeshifter - Yeah the dudes who do "lola's theme"!!!!!!! turns out lola's theme is done by shapeshifter(s), but there performace was still pretty phat, even though i was there the whole time to hear lola's theme.

230 kid606 - Had done some research on this dude prior to the big day out - even downloaded a couple of songs. hung in for a few of his songs but he was hella lame

315 fast crew - I think i have heard these guys live for like the 5th time. Ended up finding some shade and laxed out listening to their tunes. "really like the one where the chick sings "breakdown". Also During this time i purchased a wireless mp3 player from the markets - it's a bit hard to operate but is kinda cool.

420 scribe - Was a definate highlight getting to listen to what p-money and scribe have created - live. Thought it was a bit lame how scribe kept announcing that "no one thought we'd get to play on the main stage, but we made it to the main stage bla bla"

500 freestylers (my favourite group of all time) - don't wanna talk about them, Got to see them at the St James when they released their second album and they were so cool - (and only one of them showed up). This time round at the big day out they had a band including a rhythm section but there performance didn't quite capture what makes the freestylers music so great. They did finish with a good performance of "get a life"

600 john butler trio - Spent the whole time in the beer tent, sound was a little off so did not warrant going front and center, i did enjoy singing along to the 1st verse of zebra which i had memorized beforehand. "I could be!"
never go to use the following : here it is -
*Step 1: Think of a way to get someone from the other sex to answer "the john butler trio". These example should all result in the answer "the john butler trio""who's that group that sings Zebra?" or (when the John Butler Trio are on stage) "who is this?"or "who is performing on the green stage at 6pm?"
*Step 2: ensure they have a companion with them.
*Step 3 : point out that companion : "who's this? your friend?"
*Step 4: remark : "hey we should make a trio"
Vwa-la

645 regurgitator - It's was decided that would stay in the beer tent some more and was cristedened as the regurgitator appretiation hour. Worked out well cause there set sucked ass. Turns out there last album was produced in a week while they were in a bubble in melbourne square - or some shite

730 the streets - you guessed it stayed in the beer tent some more. realizing that i really wanted to see the streets live, i mangaed to get front and center for the last 3 songs (the only ones i know) so was really well timed. They were good at performing for the crowd as well

900 beasties - The group everyone was at the bigdayout for. Was a strugle getting front and center But pushed our way through successfully and got to see a mean show. i feel i could have put a better track list together, but mix master mike showed his class

1000 chemicals - chemicals set was allready halfway through by the time the beasties had finished. Totally sneaked in on the side of the tent round by the toilets and got front and center for the last half an hour. Once again i could have put a better track list together, esspecially since during the last half an hour they only played what seemed to be like 2 or 3 songs.

thursday morning - day before the big day out

dammit slept in. have memories of having a song in my head but not wanting to wake up cause i wanted to sleep a little more to get a better song...i paid dearly, cause not only did i sleep in, I awoke to having Gwen Stefani - "what you waiting for" playing in my head. Why can't i get a cool song like numb encore "what the hell are you waiting for"

forgot my dream memories as i ate breakfast before entering this.

wednesday morning

song playing in head this morning is "when you're looking like that" by Westlife. and to make it worse my computer is putting along slower than usual making me have to endure that song longer than usual. (going slow whilst creating this)

Memories of dreams are hazey. I was driving my old honda accord, it was still crappy but drived real well, and the exhaust was sounding mean a.l.a Novak's new Prelude exhaust. Droped off wooden box for some reason at a place where a party had just finished (the next morning), everyone was like "watch the spew" and cleaning up. that's it

monday morning

song this morning was "with out you" not %100 sure of the artist, think it might be michael murphy (nz idol runner up) ohhh the shame.

memories of dream were short, scenic, and sweet. Driving up a snow-y mountain which had a peak. Drive up was dark and snow looked black and blue, then once rounding the peak discovered sunshine looking out at a view of ruapehu with the sun setting all around it.

and that was it

sunday morning

I have a dream! think it was before that actual waking due to the alarm but dream was kind of an apprentice/last comic standing reality show dream. I and my fellow students from polytechnic where on a snowoard trip, day challenge was on the snow, i was doing pretty kick ass but by the end of the day i had sourced a new board (black short with a fat tail) that was supposedly gonna allow to me attempt a gap jump better than my red hammer - but i was having probablems due to not being able to attatch my bindings to the board, mean while Rheese (my sisters boyfriend) and his mum had skied over the jump. his mum poped over the jump landing on a ledge not far from the jump, Rheese however pulled a huge backflip with sideways rotation rode-ao style skying off over the horizon - making the gap jump. I did not get to attempt the jump. Evening challenge was a cook off. Was split into 2 groups, 1 group having to make dinner, and later the 2nd group having to make breakfast. i was in the later group. The deal was to prepare a meal for 1 and competing against the others, and the meals were judged by our tutors getting to eat them. I had a primo bacon, egg, spagetti, toast thing all prepared but it was sabotaged when i discovered the prepared toast, bacon and egg had been placed in tub of water, spent the rest of the dream trying to fix it - didn't dream as far as the judging.

well i had no song! except for the sweet melody of my alarm going off (it's more an infernal beep). A song has just pooped into my head whilst typing this - gavin de graw - i don't wanna be..... or is it tim Mc graw...hmmmm

saturday morning

this morning was different to previous ones, rather than waking up and having memories of dreams and a song playing in my head - this was Saturday - no need to wake up, so all though there were re-collections of having dreams they were dismissed so as to sleep in, and as for songs playing in my head there were a number during my 'sleeping in' period, most note worthy were leather and tatooes - 48 may, fight back - 48may (in fact i think i some how managed to create of megamix of the 2 combined) and ride wit me - Nelly (36-25-34).

weather was perfect beach weather, but i managed to delay my beach visit by discovering 'master of disguise' was on sky movies so that kept me beach free till lunch (chick in movies measurements were 35-25-34, cool quote "this is what you are doing.....this is what i want you to be doing" had some other cool quotes to might have to look em up at www.imdb.com

Got to beach, had to do like 5 laps to get a park, but park was the best cause was in the shade just across from assualt, which ment a brief stroll to the beach. day was filled with rotating:
*lying on the beach
*swiming
*watching beach volleyball
and the best part was when i decided to go for a stroll to get lunch i came across freebies
*primo
*starburst
*callipo ice blocks
which kept me happy for lunch, and even came accros a chick giving out potato chips which made for a good afternoon snack.

next was seeing a movie - was weird korean movie about monk and his son and spring, summer, fall, winter and spring again.

have been inticed to venturing to piha tommorow to meet up with leo and alison, tough choice cause could just have another day like today at the mount (tommorow). So have to set my alarm to wake up at 5 in the morning - i wonder how that will effect my dream and song, i predict i'll have no dream memory and no song, cause will be too pissed off about having to wake up.

p.s. these blogs are a way to document my mornings, dunno if i'll enter one 4 each morning - but will try.

waking up

awoke to having the song billy jean by michael jackson in my head. could remember two dreams. the later was working at mc donalds, except it was very fish and chicken oriented (battered everything). The earlier dream was the coolest though, I was hanging with jay and silent bob, we were about to go to a movie shoot, and for what ever reason jay was making us go with out wearing any colour, this made me choose my oneal top to wear which is black grey and white. Once at the movie shoot we were put in our places, and the movie turned out to be an rip of the movie Friday, but with an asian twist. i then became the camera and was shooting a gag of an asian guy being asked what his name was - his answer to what his name was "snake yourslef fool" (break yourself fool) must have done like 20 takes, so funny just thinking about it, i wonder if i was laughing in my sleep. The end
